Juvenile Division

Overview

The Juvenile Division handles all statute offenses and law violations committed by persons under the age of 18. Juvenile case hearings in family court are confidential and closed to the public. However, the law allows certain information to be open to the public by the order of the court such as:

  • Child protection
  • Child In Need of Supervision (CHINS)
  • Child delinquency
  • Neglect
  • Diversion

If you are a respondent in a juvenile case and are represented by an attorney, the Wyoming Rule of Professional Conduct prohibit the County Attorney from communicating directly with you concerning your case. Please contact your attorney if you have questions concerning your case.
